About Me

My name is Annie Humphrey and I am junior at the University of Michigan studying Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience with a Minor in Writing. I am also pre-med and I hope to one day become a pediatric specialist of some sort. Outside of school I am a Research Assistant in a social psychology lab and hope to create an honors thesis next year. In addition, I am a Resident Advisor in Markley Residence Hall, I am a member of Women’s Glee Club, and I volunteer at Mott Children’s Hospital. I chose to minor in writing because I have always loved writing and hope to continue writing in the future, either in conjunction with or outside my work as a doctor. My dream would be to follow a similar path as Atul Gawande, a doctor who writes about his experiences in the New Yorker.
